Gail Gibbons
On a visit to Bear Pond, Gail Gibbons generously did a drawing for the store. It can be seen upstairs in our children’s room! Gail has traveled the world to research topics as diverse as deep-sea submersibles, the Old West, trees and more. She has been awarded the Washington Post Children’s Book Guild Award for her overall contribution to children’s non-fiction. Gail divides her time between a cottage on Matinicus Island off the coast of Maine and her farmhouse in Vermont that was built by her husband, Kent.
