Meet the owners Rob Kasow and Claire Benedict. You may already know them from Rivendell Books (just across the street from Bear Pond Books) which they have owned since 2004. They bought Bear Pond in 2006, with Rob continuing to work at Rivendell while Claire is at Bear Pond. Claire said at the time of the sale: “you won’t see a lot of changes at Bear Pond, we bought the store because we love it just the way it is!”
Claire and Rob live in Montpelier with their two children, Georgia and Julian.
