Together with the North Branch Nature Center, Bear Pond presents:
Sy Montgomery and Howard Mansfield
Both Sy and Howard are interested in capturing science, nature and history on the page. Sy has written several books, together with photgrapher Nic Bishop, for Houghton Mifflin’s Scientists in the Field series. She has researched tarantulas, snow leopards, tree kangaroos, man-eating tigers and parrots, among other blood thirsty beasts. Her latest book is Kakapo Rescue: Saving the World’s Strangest Parrot.
Howard’s latest children’s book is a picture book called Hogwood Steps Out, a loving reminiscence of the couple’s adopted pig.
