We meet monthly, almost always the last Monday of the month, at
6:30, at Bear Pond. We'll generally select two books to read &
discuss, usually with a unifying theme.
For instance: "China", wherein
we read a book set in ancient China [The Chinese Bell Murders, a Judge Dee mystery] and a book set in modern China [Death of a Red Heroine,
featuring Chief Inspector Chen]. We'll do different themes other than
Place, too; sometimes it's first & last in a series, or Books Set in
Cold Places. The books we choose are always in paperback, and always
available at Bear Pond. AND you get 15% off.
Everyone is invited to come--this is an open book club. I send out a monthly e-mail that tells what we are reading and sometimes tells of new mystery releases. You don't have to come to the meetings to sign up for the newsletter, just e-mail me and I'll see that you get on the list.
