Willard Sterne Randall

Willard Sterne Randall is the author of thirteen books, including five biographies and two biographical readers. A former investigative reporter, he received the National Magazine Award for Public Service from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, the Hillman Prize, and the Loeb Award during his seventeen-year journalism career in Philadelphia.
He has co-authored four books with his wife, the poet Nancy Nahra, including American Lives, a two volume collection of short biographies that has been used in more than 100 colleges and universities. Randall is Visiting Professor of Humanities at Champlain College in Vermont. His newest book is Ethan Allen: His Life and Times.
