This book comes with a warning: if you have anywhere to be in the next 24 hours, don't pick it up, because I could not put this book down! It's not a thriller, but it reads like one. It's the story of what happens when a couple of boys from the high school lacrosse team after a big party takes home a private school girl they don't know who is really drunk and needs somebody to take her home, and then the stories that come up after that, and how they reverberate. If you think you know where this is going, just wait -- it takes very unexpected twists and turns. I thought it had masterful pacing and great creative writing, and the ending is really satusfying!— Claire

“A brilliant mind-bender of a novel that uses different methods of storytelling to illustrate how storytelling creates different versions of truth (if truth even exists) and reality. Are we the stories we tell ourselves? Or do we become the stories that are told about us? This is the question True Story asks as it peels away layer after layer of the narrative. Part fever dream, part timely comment on sexual assault, and part psychological thriller, True Story will keep you turning pages and guessing until the genius, puzzle-completing ending. I LOVED this book!”
