Fill the Window Downtown Food Drive

The Montpelier Business Association is once again partnering with the Montpelier Food Pantry to hold the 4th annual “Fill the Window: Downtown Food Drive!"

“The food pantry is very low on food and is experiencing high demand right now, particularly from families,” says Montpelier Food Pantry volunteer Liz Snell. “Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t think about donating in the summer months, so the families who utilize our services really need our help now,” she says.

Some of the items that are particularly in need are: peanut butter and jelly; canned or pouched tuna fish; cereal; tomato sauce (they have plenty of pasta); salad dressing (they get fresh vegetable donations from area farmers); condiments; personal care items like toilet paper, toothpaste, shampoo, or tampons; and cloth bags.

Bring your non-perishable food or toiletry items to Bear Pond Books at 77 Main Street in Montpelier during store hours from July 25th through July 30th. Let's Fill That Window for a Good Cause!
