Picture Books & Project Based Learning w/Katy Farber

Saturday, April 28, 2018 - 11:00am

Join educator and author Katy Farber for a conversation about how to use picture books and novels as a spring board for project based learning. With the proliferation of issue based books, including her own Salamander Sky and The Order of the Trees, teachers have an opportunity to create relevant, engaging learning opportunities with students that connect them deeply to local and global communities, and give them a sense of purpose and contribution. Resources, templates, and plans will be shared during this educator event.

Free and open to the public. A Bear Pond Educator Series event.
