Trans Youth Book Drive

The Trans Youth Book Drive is CLOSED - Thank you for your Support!

Help us reach our goal of sending 25 copies of Man O'War, the new young adult book by local author Cory McCarthy, to trans teens in Texas! We'll be working with statewide and local trans rights organizations to distribute the books.

What: A fundraising book drive to send books about transgender youth to transgender youth in Texas.

Why: As you may know, Texas is passing and putting forth many bills on anti-trans healthcare that strip away rights and protections for trans youth. We hope by sending trans-affirming books, like Cory's new book, to teens, it will help them feel seen, and see a way forward.

When: From May 31st through June 7th.

Where: At Bear Pond Books, and online (book listed below), you can buy a book that we will donate to OutYouth of Austin, Texas.

We're hoping to send at least 25 books, but more would be great! Help us spread the word, and help us help our most vulnerable youth!
