Bear Pond Books offers an excellent selection of used books along with our new books. In 2015 we merged with Montpelier's beloved Rivendell Books, to expand our offerings for our customers. Our used book inventory is not currently available on our website, please come in and browse if you're interested in shopping for used books. Our selections changes daily! All used books are shelved along side our new books and have a blue dot sticker on the spine.
WE BUY USED BOOKS
One of the ways we acquire used books is from our customers. If you would like to trade your books for store credit, we will buy your used books by appointment. Appointments must be made in advance and evaluations will be done while you wait. You can bring in two bags (or two boxes) of books at a time, and we will offer store credit for the books we are interested in. The remainder will be returned to you. Store credits are valid for one year from the date of issue or last use.
Appointments are available Monday through Friday in the morning and the first Saturday of each month.

- Books in poor condition
- Encyclopedias
- Out of date reference books
- Time-Life or Reader's Digest books
- Outdated hardcover romance, fiction, or mystery books
- Textbooks
- Advance reader copies (ARCs)
