Celebrate 100 Years of our National Parks with these 6 books

The National Park system was first established by the Organic Act of 1916 "to conserve the scenery and the natural and historic objects and wildlife therein, and to provide for the enjoyment of the same in such manner and by such means as will leave them unimpaired for the enjoyment of future generations." Our first National Park was Yellowstone, which was signed into law in 1872 by President Ulysses S. Grant. Since that time, the system has grown to include 59 parks in all, with the latest, Californa's Pinnacles National Park established in 2013 by President Obama.
